YouthAlivePlus is a community-driven digital skills organisation committed to empowering African youths with globally relevant digital skills — beginning from rural communities in Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

📖 Our Story
YouthAlive Plus was born out of a desire to solve unequal access to digital skills acquisition in Africa, beginning from rural communities in Ebonyi State.
We started by hosting small conferences to educate students and young people about the importance of digital skills in a world that has gone digital.
With borrowed devices, limited resources, and a strong vision, we began organising conferences, trainings, and practical learning sessions for young people who had little or no exposure to technology.
Today, YouthAlive Plus is gradually growing into a movement committed to empowering African youths with globally relevant digital skills, leadership, innovation, and opportunity.
We are not just empowering youths with skills.
We are empowering the digital economy with digital talents.
📍 Why We Began in Ebonyi State
The founder of YouthAlive Plus first came to Ebonyi State during the compulsory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in 2023.
While serving, he noticed the wide digital gap among many young people in rural communities. Many had talent, passion, and potential — but little exposure to technology and digital opportunities.
In May 2024, he began teaching a few youths graphic design and animation using Canva. Later in 2024, in collaboration with Everyday Believers in Christ, YouthAlive Plus began organising conferences and sensitization programs to educate students on the importance of digital skills.
The movement started small — teaching a handful of students in Ndiaguazu Enyibichiri, Alike, Ikwo LGA.
Started teaching graphic design and animation in Ikwo LGA. Began school conferences and student sensitization programs. Reached young people across local communities in Ebonyi State.
Expanded conferences to more schools and communities. YouthAlive Plus began community meetings at Agubia Development Centre. Grew from 3 people into a growing talent community. Hosted an intensive multi-week bootcamp with participants from multiple communities.
Still growing. Still building. Still solving unequal access to digital skills acquisition in Africa.
🎯 What Drives Us
To provide free, accessible, and practical digital skills training to young people, teachers, and community members in underserved communities across Africa — beginning from Ebonyi State — equipping them with the skills to participate fully in the global digital economy.
An Africa where every young person, regardless of their location or economic background, has the digital skills to create opportunities, tell their story, build businesses, and contribute to their community's development. Young people in rural Africa are not behind because they lack intelligence — they are behind because they lack access.

Our training is and will always be completely free. No registration fees, no hidden costs — ever.
Every decision we make is guided by what serves our community best. We are accountable to the people we serve.
We teach real, applicable skills — not theory. Participants leave knowing how to actually use technology.
We actively encourage female participation and ensure our programmes are safe and welcoming for all genders.
We measure everything. Every student trained, every life changed — we document and share our impact honestly.
We build local capacity so that the knowledge multiplies. Participants become future facilitators.
